Once again, it is that time of the year when the plants look at us with a smile, for example these beautiful lettuce that I planted a few weeks ago.
The constant watering and caring for them finally paid off, I say finally, but not yet, because I just transplanted them into a bigger pot and hopefully, they will be fully grown in a month’s time. I am hoping to grow different herbs and spices once this project is fruitful.
Speaking of lettuce, healthier living is on my agenda list this year. I have been eating fairly healthy but I feel I should be doing more. I bet the scare of horse meat in burgers and mince beef has shifted away many people’s perspective about meat. A lot more people are looking into healthier options as the thought of eating horse meat is just abhorrent, but not to the French I don’t think, because I understand they eat horse meat anyway.

To be on the safe side, why not be a vegetarian? I admire vegetarians, I wish my taste buds weren’t so fussy. I have thought about becoming a vegetarian numerous times, but it has proved to be a hard nut to crack for me so I decided to do it my way. what I do now is divide my plate into two halves and put in half serving of vegetables and the other half divide servings of carbs and proteins equally. Am not a vegetarian but hey, at least am eating my vegetables. Continue reading
